This site is dedicated to promoting West Coast Swing Dance in Southern Oregon.
West Coast Swing is a smooth, sensual, slotted variation of the East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop or
Jitterbug. It is danced to a wide variety of music from Jazz and Blues to Hip Hop and Rock. West
Coast Swing is the most advanced form of Swing Dancing because of it’s true "lead-follow" skills
necessary to interweave an expression of the music. At the more advanced level, it allows for more
independence and play for the follow, within the structure of the dance, making each dance unique
even with the same partner.
